Aurrum recently marked its first birthday with celebrations at two of its residences in Victoria — Healesville and Reservoir.
Fresh from a recent renovation, Aurrum Reservoir celebrated the milestone with lively entertainment, fun-filled activities and espressos from the new on-site café.
A number of special guests attended including local health professionals, social and placement agency workers and local volunteers.
Reservoir’s General Manager Glenda Walker opened the celebrations with a morning tea and a welcome address, highlighting the hard work and dedication of staff.
She said in the past year, staff have brought Aurrum’s gold standard of care to Reservoir, making it a unique and outstanding place to live.
“Our staff work tirelessly everyday to enrich the lives of our residents and we are extremely proud of their achievements over the past year.”
Later in the day, more than 100 residents and their families were entertained by a Doris Day Tribute show.
A highlight was the cutting of the Aurrum birthday cake by one of the homes’ most senior residents.
