Aurrum is proud to partner with Planetree, an international not-for -profit organisation that works with hospitals and aged care providers to assist in the development of organisational culture and working practices, bringing person-centred care philosophies to the fore front.
Aurrum was delighted to participate in Planetree’s annual conference in October 2017 in Baltimore, USA.
Speakers and attendees included clinical professionals, patient and family advisors, as well as other leaders in the health care community globally, looking to gain greater understanding of the benefits of person-centred care, and to discuss how components of the Planetree model are implemented at their organisations.
Caroline Mwania, Aurrum National Quality & Education Director, attended the conference this year.
In her presentation, ‘Leading Australia’s Aged Care Sector into the 21st Century’, Caroline discussed Aurrum’s alignment with Planetree’s philosophy and the importance of person centred care to Aurrum’s operating model.
Caroline said, “Aurrum is committed to leading the way in person-centred care in the aged care industry. As the only Australian aged care provider at the conference, it was remarkable to see other organisations around the world working with Planetree and making a difference in the care we provide.
Aurrum always prides itself in clinical care excellence and it was good to show case the Aurrum Values and Aurrum points of difference to the other health care professionals.”
Aurrum’s delivery model is built around a core philosophy of person-centred clinical care excellence with premium accommodation and lifestyle and dining experiences in an enriching environment.
Aurrum looks forward to continuing its alliance with the Planetree organisation, and further developing its best practice provision of person-centred aged care in Australia.
